Energised: A Global Green Team (In Partnership With Iberdrola)
Solar panel installers, architects, environmental scientists, recycling coordinators, wind turbine engineers, geologists, project managers, electric vehicle manufacturers - these are just a small subset of the countless jobs connected to the green revolution. But, for renewable energy to be a sustainable part of our lives, we need to ensure it offers both economic growth and climate security.
The International Labour Organisation estimates that the energy transition could create 25 million new jobs by 2030. To achieve that remarkable goal, we will need investment to ensure that jobs and workers are protected, and to rethink the way our business and employment models work.

@1:14:42 - Ms. Widdecombe: (in reply to Mr. Hitchens statement that the Church is obsessed with sex.) "No, it's critics are obsessed with sex. There's no sex in the creed, there's no sex in the Lord's Prayer, there's no sex in the liturgy... " Then why, on Earth, is there sex in the pews? In the priesthood? In the attacks of LGBTQ+? In the attacks on birth control? If this is how the Church treats things it doesn't care about then I shudder to think of how it treats biblical sins!!

Baloney. USA's 5% of global population consume 25% of the planet so for social justice for the 50% who earn LESS THAN $5 PER DAY we need four more planets. Problem = CO2 levels doubled since industrial revolution levels' climate stability for 10,000 years. THE ONLY SOLUTION: Solution: fewer emitters, carbon sequestering. = Vegetarianism, fewer pets and people, no personal vehicles, and reforestation over an area the size of USA plus Bolivis. CORPORATE LIES push renewables and "electric vehicles" regardless of their production footprint to maintain status quo CONSUMERISM. Climate Chaos will cause increasing global food production collapse. Pledges to buy "green steel" and decarbonizing... Hydrogen... BULL SHIITE.

We desperately need fundamental change, but Labour must first win the election and they won’t want to make too many freak waves before that. I do hope they get a sufficient majority to have some radical policies. Keynesian economics were dissed by past governments over the past 40 years or so, but they still have some merit. If you invest in public services and our infrastructure (transport, social housing etc.) then, in the right circumstances, it can kick start economic growth. The ‘multiplyer factor’ may be smaller but it does still exist. However, the key problem that Keir alluded to (the belief by so many of the electorate, that our country cannot be fixed) is very depressing. We simply cannot go on as we are right now. Our roads are in an appalling state, the NHS is collapsing around our ears and councils cannot cope with the level of funding they are given. We also treat the sick and disabled dreadfully and that has to be laid firmly at the Tories - divide and rule has always been their policy.

What’s moronic about the question is the presupposition that man can exist without religion. What is clear throughout the whole of human history is that human beings are inherently religious. Even Hitchens worshipped joyfully and exuberantly!

DEI isn't the problem, DEI as an initiative is good. Delivery of DEI can be & has been mangled. If you are arguing that in a diverse nation, diversity is wrong, what are uou genuinejy saying? How can equality & inclusivity be inherently wrong? It comes down to force, sometimes it needs to be used (e.g. abolition of slavery or identifying & ending exploitation) but if force is akways used, you have a problem. Conservative voices and people aren't excluded from the discussion but if those people are simply screaming "DEI is bad!!!" they're not going to get very far.

Once you begin redefining democracy to suit yoir own ends it ceases to actually BE democracy. The political party system is not actually a democracy because fails the concept of REPRESENTATIVE Democracy because the Part policy bevomes more relevent than the collective will of the electorate that voted for them in the first place

By males, and followed up with assimilation by way of crusades, holy wars, book burnings, and colonization. The male ego will never allow religion to work in the spiritually positive way that it's intended to because their thirst for power and control is uncontrollable.

It will only be remade when we rejoin the EU. What an act of self harm Brexit was and yes, FPTP needs to go. Keir Starmer has appalled me . He called for a second referendum at pro EU rallies, but now, because he wants to lead this broken country, he won't even agree to reiun the single market or the customs union. And as for the Tories...words fail me. But there are other parties with more sense, yet they never get a chance thanks to FPTP. I'm thinking of the Liberals and the Greens.

Huh, so she is suggesting the Church had no hand in the genocide in Rwanda in 1994? Or is she suggesting Ratzinger WASN'T pope in 2016? He didn't bring Roger Williams back into the Church? Our whole political system needs reforming. It's based on a time when there were no phones, no computers and sending an MP to make our decisions (in a horse and carriage) over several years was the only way to do it. In 2024 we have the ability to have far more input into the decisions we have made on our behalf and should never be in a position where we have an unelected PM and a party in charge that has done nothing for the country for years. (It's actually harmed it.)
